Sail GP Auckland
For the SailGP Auckland event, I developed comprehensive spatial designs and 3D architectural renders of the new site utilising a workflow across SketchUp, Vectorworks, and Twinmotion. This rigorous modelling process was essential for establishing the critical environmental details of the never-before-used venue. By building out the complete digital twin, I was able to optimise guest sightlines, analyse temporal shadow paths, map out key facilities, and determine the precise placement and scale of furniture across the site.
Beyond the structural and logistical layout, the technical floorplans served as a foundational tool for cross-departmental collaboration. With these renders, the production was able to better communicate with the marketing team to seamlessly integrate the event's brand activations. The 3D models established the sizing, strategic placement, and necessary quantities of all environmental graphics, ensuring the visual identity was both impactful and cohesive across the entire footprint.
The final deliverables provided both precise technical data for the build crew and immersive, high-fidelity visualisations, bridging the gap between practical site logistics and the high-energy atmosphere of a premier international sporting event.
